By downloading, installing, or using the Photos New Tab Chrome Extension (“the Extension”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Photos New Tab is a browser extension that integrates with your Google Photos account to display your personal photos in new browser tabs. The Extension allows you to:

  • View your Google Photos in new browser tabs
  • Select specific albums to display
  • Customize the appearance and behavior of the extension

3. Privacy and Data

3.1 Data Collection

  • The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit your personal photos or data
  • Photos are accessed directly from Google Photos through your browser
  • We do not have access to your Google Photos account or content

3.2 Google Photos Integration

  • The Extension requires access to your Google Photos account
  • This access is granted through Google’s OAuth system
  • You control the permissions and can revoke access at any time through your Google account settings

3.3 Analytics

  • We may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the Extension
  • This data does not include your photos or personal information

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Appropriate Use

You agree to use the Extension only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Extension to violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension
  • Use the Extension to access or share inappropriate content
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Extension

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and any credentials used with the Extension.

5.1 Extension Rights

The Extension and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developers and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Content

You retain all rights to your photos and content. The Extension does not claim ownership of your photos or other content.

6. Disclaimers

6.1 Service Availability

The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Extension will be available at all times or that it will function without errors.

6.2 Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with Google Photos and other third-party services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of these third-party services.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Extension.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Extension after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Extension immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developers operate, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
